The UniversityAdministrative departments
34 offices, directorates, departments, sections and units, each with its own site.
What this directory shows
Every administrative unit of the University runs its own site on the departments subdomain rather than as a section of the main site. That is why the main site has so little to say about what these offices do: the content lives elsewhere, in 34 separate places, each with its own design, navigation and update cycle.
26 of the 34 department links are served over plain HTTP on the live site. Every one has been rewritten to HTTPS here, but the underlying sites need certificates. Until then a visitor to a University of Embu office page sees a “not secure” warning in the address bar. 6 of the units are linked through an index.php path, which breaks the moment the file is renamed.
